Free hot beverage refills! Free wifi! What more could two ladies need?

Today is the first opportunity we’ve had in a long while to sit down and focus on our website; we admit it has been a long time coming!

We welcomed a Delphian Crafts baby back in 2018, and as a result of Mum and Nana duties we haven’t updated the site as much as we’d like.  We’ve signed up to a number of fairs this year, and recently delved into the world of Ebay.

It’s taking some time to sift through all of the photos we have that we’d love to share that show how much we have achieved over the last couple of years so be patient with us while we’re enjoying our baby free cuppas.

Our 2nd Fair

Barnard Castle  –  Sat 7th July

Mick and I set up at this fair, in a gorgeous room at The Witham, Barnard Castle. Early start as we  wanted to be there for 8.30am.

On arrival, we met the organiser, Amanda, who was very nice & had everything nicely ready for us to set our makes on.

We had a lovely day, it wasn’t packed  (probably due to a certain football match!!) But a nice steady flow of people from start to finish.

Karrie and Craig joined us at lunch time to give us a little break. And they stayed to help us pack down.

The fair didn’t make us rich with takings, however we picked up a few tips, and evaluating, came up with a few ideas for the next one in August, and this was invaluable.

Thank you so much Mick, Karrie & Craig, don’t know how I’d manage without you x

A few photos from the day

Don’t know how we managed to get everything on the table!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Mick’s Masterpiece

Mick decided to join in on the design and crafting of the pieces to help us get things ready for our next fair at The Witham, Barnard Castle (7th July).  He’s really taken to it, with a good eye for design and has been experimenting with different techniques to achieve perfection.

I’d like to give you a sneaky peak at what goes on behind the scenes…

First attempt

Mick is trying out different positions and ideas with the frame on the canvas.

Second phase

Canvas prepped and painted, Mick is now deciding on the positioning of the embellishments.

Completion

After much hard work and lots of time and head scratching Mick’s masterpiece is complete!

What we’ve been up to recently

Here at Delphian Crafts HQ, it has been a hive of activity over the last few weeks.  We’ve been very busy crafting in preparation for our stall at Whitby Goth Weekend.  The website has been on the back-burner, but we’re hopeful to be sharing our new creations with you soon!
